Collision, the fastest growing technology event in North America, has launched its Indigenous Attendee Program to amplify the voices of Indigenous peoples, build respectful relationships with Indigenous communities in Canada, and build a more just tech ecosystem.

The Indigenous Attendee Program is aimed at creating a culturally safe space at Collision for attendees from the Inuit, Métis and First Nations communities, and provides complimentary full access to all three days of Collision 2022.

Collision will begin on June 21 – National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada, which is a day for recognizing and celebrating the culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.

At the event, former MKO Grand Chief of Bunibonibee Cree Nation Sheila North, Virtual Gurus founder and CEO Bobbie Racette and Globe and Mail reporter Willow Fiddler will discuss Indigenous innovation and how Canada’s heritage is fuelling its future. Animikii Indigenous Technology founder and CEO Jeff Ward will discuss the path ahead for truth and reconciliation.

Through work with organizations including International GC and Animikii Indigenous Technology, Collision is welcoming some of the most promising startups in the Canadian tech space.
